Powder for Dogs:
0–7 lbs … 1⁄16 tsp twice a day (8.25 mg of Silymarin per day)
8–14 lbs … ⅛ tsp twice a day (16.5 mg of Silymarin per day)
15–30 lbs … ¼ tsp twice a day (33 mg of Silymarin per day)
31–80 lbs … ½ tsp twice a day (66 mg of Silymarin per day)
81–120 lbs … ¾ tsp twice a day (100 mg of Silymarin per day)
Over 120 lbs … 1 tsp twice a day (132 mg of Silymarin per day)
Powder for Cats:
⅛ tsp twice a day (16.5 mg of Silymarin per day)
CAUTIONS:
Not to be used in pregnant pets. If animal’s condition worsens or does not improve, stop product administration and consult your veterinarian.
Not for use within 48 hours of surgery or anesthesia.
SILYMARIN INFORMATION:
If your veterinarian recommends a smaller dose of milk thistle, those dosages are often based on milk thistle concentrated extract.
Our milk thistle is whole ground seed, which contains 5x more volume than concentrated extract. While our daily recommendations are higher, they provide a comparable amount of active ingredient (3%) needed to be effective.
